Chapter 3: is this a joke?

Jacqueline's POV

I walked down to the kitchen, led by the loud laughter of boys and the smell of pizza. For some reason,

the clothes and underwear fit me perfectly and they were comfortable to move in. As soon as I walked

in, everyone froze and so did I.

There were definitely more that the three boys I met earlier here. The new addition made the amount of

guys in this house 7. SEVEN! I was a naïve, young girl in a room of SEVEN boys.

"Hey, beautiful. The name's Jaden. What's yours?" My face heated up as a Spanish-looking guy came

up to kiss my hand. He had cropped brown hair with sharp facial features. His tan skin looked smooth

and he could dress himself well. Swoon.

Someone pushed him away and wrapped his arms around me. "Don't worry about him, he's average.

Look at me, I'm an 11/10. Learn the name James because you'll have it in your cellphone soon." Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

James was ruggedly handsome with dark hair, dark eyes and scruff on his obviously defined jawline.

"Step aside James, let a real man handle this. I'm the guy who fills your dreams with happiness and

bliss. I go by Bryan." This young, black man had sweet eyes and curly hair with a beard. He was so

cute and adorable.

"Aww. You're so cute and adorable." I gushed loudly while pinching his cheeks. My statement earned a

huge roar of laughter and Bryan walking back to his seat with his head down.

"If he's cute and adorable, then I must be a teddy bear. Any girl would want to cuddle with me. I'm

River." I looked up to my side to see a gorgeous man/boy with chocolate brown eyes and brown hair

with highlights.

"Whoa." Was all I let out.

"Yeah, I know, I'm beautiful."

That made me gain some attitude. "Who do you think you are? God's gift to women? If anything, you're

a dirty dog with rabies." The rest of the group began whooping and catcalling when they heard that.

"Oh! The shots are fired!" That was Dylan.

"Hey! Blondie, Curly, Handsome." A few chuckles were heard. "How did you guys know my size of

clothes and underwear? That was plain creepy."

Alex spoke first, "We looked at the tags on your clothes."

"Coincidently, you're the same size as my sister." Dylan added on.

"The underwear was just a lucky guess from looking." Jaxon was dead.

I stared at him wide-eyed and gaped, "That doesn't make me feel better."

"Yeah, dude, that was totally out of line." It was River.

Dylan dead-panned at him, "Don't act like you're a saint." He turned to me. "It's not what it sounded

like. I looked, not them."

"That's better how?" I asked.

He just ignored me and went to the fridge. He took out some lemonade and poured a glass. I walked

over to him and snatched the glass before he could reach it. I drank it down in huge gulps and smiled

at him afterwards. "Next time, answer me."

Evil girl, I could hear him mumble as I walked to Alex and Jaxon. "And that was the last of the

lemonade."

Jaden clapped and shouted out, "She just owned you, man."

"Hey! What's your name? You know ours, what's yours?" James voiced out.

It hadn't occurred to me that they didn't know my name. Weird. "Uh... It's Jacqueline."

"We'll call you Jackie." He smiled. He had a nice smile.

"Okay." My stomach decided to grumble very loudly at that moment.

Bryan went to the microwave and took out some flapjacks. He placed them on a tray along with a bowl

of strawberries and a bottle of syrup.

"You really are cute." I cooed at him.

He looked down and stuck his hands in his pockets. "Your stomach was growling. I was just being a

gentleman." That made me smile.

Jaden got up so I could sit and went to stand with Alex and Jaxon. I almost cried because the flapjacks

were so good. "Who cooked these?" I inquired.

"The dog." Jaxon snickered. I turned to River and raised my eyebrows.

"You made these?" My mouth was stuffed with the decadent food. He nodded and looked down

sheepishly.

Suddenly, I moaned loudly and everyone looked at me with wide eyes. Bad move. "Sorry." The

flapjacks were now devoured by the monster that is my hungry side and the tray was taken away by

James, who smirked at me as he placed the dishes in the sink.

River cleared his throat and spoke, "I'm going to the bathroom." His voice was weird. It had gone all

deep and stuff.

"Where's he going?" I was curious.

"To jerk off." Dylan shouted, "You're not sly, you know."

"Shut up!" River hit back.

Dylan turned to me and smiled widely. To be honest, it was creepy. Good, now he's the creep.

"What?" I was clueless. All the boys were knowingly staring at me. "What?" I asked more forcefully.

"Don't act like you don't know." Dylan responded.

"What are you talking about?"

Bryan spoke beside him and gave me some insight. "Obviously he likes you."

My eyes wanted to get out their sockets, then. "Who, River?! Please. He looks like the type to hit it and

quit it."

"That's the thing. He is that type. But you're the first make him react the way he did."

"Okay." Because that wasn't obviously sarcastic.
