Chapter 163
-CLARA-
It didn't take long before we were able to lose the others. Romeo called his second in command and had him distract the others while we diverted off the lane.
We were currently on our way to my uncle and I could only pray and hope that he would be willing to help us.
"In front of that restaurant" I told Romeo and he immediately parked the car.
"Are you ready?" He questioned and I nodded before looking ahead to see if I could spot my uncle.
As soon as I did, I opened the car door and got out of the car.
"Stay in here for now. You'll draw too much attention with that green hair of yours" I told Romeo and he scoffed. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"No way in hell, Clara. I'm not about to let you run into the lion's den alone" He uttered before climbing out of the car.
I let out a sigh and decided not to argue because we didn't have much time.
We walked into the restaurant and as soon as my uncle saw me, a smile adorned his face but it immediately fell when he saw Romeo behind me. "I thought you would be alone" He uttered as I got closer.
"He had to drive me here," I explained as I sat down.
"I'll go get us something to drink," Romeo uttered before walking away. As he walked, all eyes followed him and it was obvious he loved the attention. "He's not a wolf" My uncle suddenly pointed out, turning my attention to him.
"This war affects everyone so all the beings in the world have to join hands including the humans. Sebastian has Damon, uncle. Damon was willing to give up himself just so I could be saved but I'm not going to sit around and watch that monster destroy everyone. You have to join us in this fight uncle because If he wins, we are all dead" I uttered while staring directly into his eyes.
"How exactly can an immortal being be defeated?" He questioned.
"We might not be able to defeat him but if we have a weapon that can inflict excruciating pain on him, a pain so merciless that he'd be willing to kill himself. If he kills himself then he'll die" Romeo said as he came back with the drinks.
He placed one in front of me and I thanked him before he pulled out a chair and took a seat.
"So what you're saying is that you need my help to curate this weapon?" My uncle questioned and I nodded.
"Yes but that's not all. We also need your help. The Lycans are powerful, they are one of the strongest, if not the strongest supernatural beings in the world. It's going to take everyone to defeat them, especially now that we don't have Damon with us" I said to him and he hummed in response but said nothing else.
I turned to Romeo and he just shrugged. If what we said couldn't convince him then we didn't know what would.
"Your bump has gotten bigger" He suddenly pointed out. I looked down and slowly nodded as I rubbed my stomach.
My clothes don't fit anymore and neither did my shoes.
"It's not advisable to join this fight while you're pregnant, Clara" He uttered and I smiled.
"I won't leave their father behind. He
matters the most to me in this world and if he dies, I don't want to think about what will become of me. Besides, I'm fighting this fight for them So they can live in a world with no fear whatsoever. We have to get going, we still need to reach the others and go save Damon. I hope you will join us, uncle" I murmured as I slowly stood up.
“Even if I wanted to join you guys, the council and the others won't be so willing to side with the supernaturals but I'll try my best to convince them but I cannot guarantee anything" He told me and I nodded with a slight smile.
"Goodbye then, uncle. We'll be attacking the Lycans in two days' time. I hope to see you there" I said to him then turned around and walked away.
"Do you think he'll come?" Remo questioned as we got to the car.
"I hope so" I replied then he started the car and we drove up.
His second in command had told him they had almost gotten to where Luca and the rest were. Some other Alphas and their warriors were there as well, including some supernatural beings.
We got to the place around midnight and I was so excited to see Delilah and the rest again.
As we reached the gate, I had already spotted Delilah and Luca and immediately, the tears began to flow down my cheeks.
The car came to halt and Delilah immediately ran towards the car. I got out and received her in my embrace as we both cried.
"I'm so glad you're okay" I murmured as my arms tightened around her.
"I'll have to say the same about you. You shouldn't be here, Clara" She said as she pulled away from me.
"What? Did you really think I'd let you all fight without me? This involves all of us" I told her and she sighed.
"Let's go in so you don't catch a cold. Everyone has been worried about you" She told me as she wrapped her arms around my shoulder and led me through the gates.
Luca greeted me with a smile but he too didn't think it was a great idea that I was joining them but he knew he couldn't persuade me not to.
Damon's parents and everyone was there as well and they welcomed me with open arms.
Soon after, everyone retired and went to their respective rooms. It seemed they had been waiting for me to arrive.
"During the fight with Sebastian. We
were able to note some things down. He was always covering his abdomen which leads us to think that's where his weakness is sq that's where everyone is aiming for. It's a good thing that there's a lot of support. It makes me believe that we can actually defeat Sebastian" Luca said as he walked me towards my room.
For some reason, I didn't quite believe Sebastian's weakness was his abdomen because why would he make it so obvious?
"How was Damon?" I questioned as we paused in front of my room.
"You don't have to worry too much about him, Clara. I know that's the last thing he would want" Luca uttered and I sighed.
"There's no way I cannot be worried
about him. He called me in the
morning and although he sounded fine, I felt that he wasn't" I told him and surprise flashed across his eyes, probably because he
wondered how Damon was able to call me.
"We need to save him, Luca. We need to save him fast"...
