Her Undeniable Temptation

Part 39

One of Alex’s hands roamed over her bare skin making Zoe m**n involuntarily while his other hand cupped the side of her face! He pulled slightly back again.

“You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to k**s you like this Zoe, no idea,” Alex said and brushed the hair out of her face with his finger. “Me too Alex,” she said, trying to catch her breath.

She went for another k**s but he leaned out of her way. “Really?” He asked, fighting a smile. “Yeah, really,” Zoe said with a chuckle. He looked pleased. “Huh, here I was thinking the connection between us was just in my head the whole time! You have actually been wanting me as much as I have been wanting you.” He said. Zoe couldn’t explain what his words were doing to her, It was incredible to hear that he felt the same.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“I’ve probably been wanting you more,” she teased and kissed the tip of his nose. “I seriously doubt that,” He said and leaned back down to touch his lips gently on hers. Just the slightest touch had her straining for more. “Waoh Zoe, I had no idea you were such a wild woman.” He said with a chuckle.

Just then some drunk guy and girl barged into the room. “whoops! Sorry to break some lovebirds but we wanna watch the highlights.” The guy slurred. Zoe looked at the tv and noticed they had completely missed the ball drop and it was already ten after midnight. How long had they been making out?

She sat up and tried to untangle herself from Alex but he kept hold of her hand making Zoe fight the blush that was trying to creep out. The couple plopped down on the other end of the couch, and Alex looked majorly pissed. “Come on,” Zoe muttered and led him out of the room.

They went down the stairs out to the front porch for some privacy. Once they got there, Alex looked into her eyes like he was searching for something.

He was still holding her hand. “Zoe?” He said. She looked away still fighting a blush. Zoe knew what was coming and she was totally not ready for it. “Zoe, what does this mean for us?” He said.

Well, there it was.

He wanted an explanation but she didn’t have one. Zoe didn’t know what she was going to do. A great way to start a brand new year, huh?

“What does this mean for us?” Alex had asked her that again. Her response. She stuttered out that she needed to get home before her dad and mom got mad. He didn’t seem to buy it but didn’t argue, he knew she was conflicted. That didn’t even begin to cover the way she felt.

Trying to choose between him and Luke was much easier before she had really found out what it was like to seriously make out with Alex while she was totally sober. Ugh. That whole experience had been just like a dream, really kissing the person you love for the first real-time was just___ Words fail. And what was up with the way he acted?

Has he really been wanting her for so long like he claimed? the same way she has been wanting him? The mere thought of that sent her heart to overdrive. Alex was always thinking about her! It is just so impossibly wonderful.

Zoe can’t take it. Problems! She had so many problems, so many questions, and absolutely no answers or solutions.

It sucks, plain and simple. Luke called her at midnight to say that he missed her and hoped she was okay, she hadn’t talked to him! It was in a message on the phone. She was too lily-livered to think of talking to Luke at the moment.

The moment she left the party, Zoe checked her phone and had seen about a thousand missed calls from Bella. This wasn’t an exaggeration. Did she Call Dora like this also?

There were a bunch of texts about her heartbreak. Yeah, if she only knew Zoe had been making out with her ex only a few short hours after they broke up! That wouldn’t be pretty. Zoe felt like screaming.

“Should I? Yeah,” Zoe mumbled slowly. She was going to scream for a while, into a pillow of course! She really doesn’t want her dad to think she was becoming a lunatic. Which Zoe guessed she was turning into.

Zoe wished she had a life free of drama but she didn’t, her mum died, her dad got married to a divorcee, and she got a bit tipsy and played seven-minute in heaven at a party with Alex.

She even ended up becoming friends with Alex even though it was totally against her judgment. She ended up falling for that stranger, she was in almost a year-long relationship with someone else.

So much unwanted drama that she has to deal with and sort out now. Zoe was now laying on her bed(I just got done screaming into my favorite pillow) she was wondering about all this when her mum Lilian walked into her room.

“Hey, baby Zoe, are you busy?” She asked even though it was pretty clear that Zoe was not. “No Mom, what do you need?” Zoe asked.

She pulls out a piece of paper. “I’m going to be making spinach and artichoke dip and I need a couple of things, would you mind going to the store?” Lilian asked, getting up from Zoe’s bed and grabbed the list. “Sure thing, mum,” Zoe said glumly and left.

It was now January. You know when the weather totally sucks and you just want to stay in bed without doing anything.

By the time Zoe got to her car, she was completely frozen. Rain and a mixture of snow! How pleasurable. At the market, there were not many people! So no line luckily.

It was a simple trip except that Zoe had no clue where canned artichokes would even be. There was a little sample table set up with a guy passing biscuits, so she decided to ask him. “Excuse me, sir?” Zoe says politely, he smiles a big smile and tries to hand her biscuits.

“Uhm, no thank you! I just wanted to ask you where the canned vegetables are?” Zoe asked. “Here you go, young lady, take the biscuits and let me know what you think about it!” He said cheerfully like he didn’t hear her question.

Zoe shook her head, “I don’t want any.” She said dropping her polite act, the dude was annoying and bothering.

He was still smiling as he tried to hand her the biscuits. “No, thank you!” She practically yells, nothing can stop this guy, so here is how the next three minutes went.

Zoe started to walk away as the guy pretty much shoves the biscuits to her face. She got pissed and aimed a kick for his shin but instead nailed the end of his table causing it to collapse and that action sent biscuit samples in every direction. She realized that one of the managers was rushing over! Probably to say the security was coming.

Zoe couldn’t get any more humiliation. She took to her heels and got the hell out of there.
