His Secret Millionairess Wife (Lauren)

Chapter 34

Chapter 34

Care came so easily at this moment but Lauren thought it was not truth care and love. The true

concern and true love, in Lauren’s mind, should be something from the bottom of one’s heart. No one

should pray or beg for love. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Because she had expectations for the Bennett family and she wanted to get true love in this family. But,

now… She lowered her

eyes which turned indifferent and disappointed.

Lauren knew how to get people’s love but she didn’t want to. She just wanted to be loved

wholeheartedly. Lauren thought she didn’t need sympathy of any others. So she calmed herself in an

instant, as if nothing had happened. Lauren’s face turned cold again.

Lauren turned her head to Mr. Bennett senior and said, “Grandpa. I have to leave now. I have some

work urgent to do these days.” “Do you have to leave now?” Mr. Bennett hurriedly said and she

worriedly looked at those bruises on Lauren’s body, saying, “Do

you need to go to the hospital at first?”

Lauren replied, “No need. It is not a big deal. I can take care of myself. I have to leave.”

“What is so urgent? Your health should come first,” Mrs. Bennett was so worried that she was even

about to cry. She wanted to get

close to Lauren but she didn’t dare to do it.

“If you’re too tired, you can just quit. You needn’t to work hard now since you are back to the Bennett

family. I can give you as

much money as you want.”

Mrs. Bennett was worried about Lauren. In her opinion, a girl shouldn’t work hard since the Bennett

family is enough rich. Mrs. Bennett thought Lauren just needed to be dressed up and hung out with

other ladies at the same age of her.

Lauren just ignored Mrs. Bennett and said. “I’m leaving.”

Mrs. Bennett stood at the entrance of the stairs, watching Lauren leaving. She sighed, “Lauren is so

stubborn.”

Sally stepped forward and hugged Mrs. Bennett, silently comforting her.

Mrs. Bennett turned her head and smiled at Sally. She thought, “Sally is really a good daughter.”

After this. Mr. Bennett took Darren to the study and taught a lesson to him. The others returned to their

rooms. Sally still accompanied Mrs. Bennett, who recalled Lauren’s leaving, and complained to Sally,

“Why is Lauren so stubborn?”

Sally was careful and intelligent and she knew although Mrs. Bennett complained about Lauren, she

actually cared about her. In front of Mrs, Bennett, and even in front of the Bennett family, Sally never

say bad things about Lauren, nor would she imply

that Lauren is bad. She had always been acting as a gentle and considerate girl.

What Sally wanted was the power of the Bennett family, the trust of her eldest brother Jeffery and her

parents and the dependence of Mrs. Bennett on her.

Sally wanted to be in charge of the Bennett family one day, but not a pitiful one hiding under her

parent’s wings, crying and

begging.

“Mom,” Sally patted the back of Mrs. Bennett’s hand and comforted her, “I know you care about Lauren,

but you need to give her some time to let her accept it.”

“I know,” Mrs. Bennett nodded. “I didn’t ask her to accept me and get close to me immediately, but I just

want to care about her. She got so many injuries on her body but she insisted on going back to the

college. I just don’t understand her. Why didn’t she care about her own body?”
