I Beg You
“Darling…”
That hoarse voice can’t quite capture how Kaivan is feeling tonight. His eyes are fixated on the woman who’s currently playing on top of him.
Having been separated for a while, now might be the right time to let out all the pent-up longing. Kaivan even surrenders himself as Anne eagerly starts to remove each piece of clothing clinging to his body.
Slowly, the beautiful-faced woman lowers her gaze. Once again, she kisses Kaivan on the forehead, then moves down to both cheeks, ending on his jaw with a slow and heartfelt movement. There’s no rush. It’s as if she wants to savor each passing moment.
Kaivan’s eyes dramatically close. Reflecting the pleasurable sensations starting to course through his entire body. Anne, with utmost tenderness, reaches for his lips. She kisses him and nibbles repeatedly. The waves of desire crash over Kaivan even harder.
Underneath Anne’s body, Kaivan slowly opens his eyes. Then he gazes deeply into her beautiful face. Before he can fully grasp all the sensations, the ash-brown-haired woman places a wet kiss on his neck, then moves down to his bare chest.
Down she goes, further down, nearly reaching Kaivan’s lower abdomen, but in an instant, he halts her motion. He swiftly pulls Anne up, not allowing her to continue playing there.
So, the next moment, Kaivan flips their positions. He confines Anne within his embrace, holding her tightly. He’s ready to take the lead in this game.
“Don’t play games with me, Anna Maria.” Kaivan issues a warning, which seems to make Anne smile meaningfully.
For a minute, both of them appear still. Opting for a silent exchange of glances. Until finally, Kaivan captures Anne’s lips. He kisses her deeply. Meanwhile, his hands move slowly and sensually. He starts giving touches that make Anne’s entire body tingle instantly.
The man’s hand kept moving around. From one side to the other. Kaivan could even clearly feel how Anne was getting more and more restless beneath him. Hoping that this touch would lead to a pleasurable climax they had both been seeking.
“Kai…” Anne whispered softly as she felt Kaivan slowly entering her. The man moved slowly, in rhythm. But gradually, control began to slip away. Continuing to move in pursuit of release. Until the moment came when waves of pleasure washed over them both.
Then, Kaivan collapsed onto Anne. The man stayed there for a while before finally moving slowly. Shifting positions to lie beside the woman whose breath was still gasping for air. With affection, the man embraced her once again. Holding Anne’s body tightly from behind. Pressing the tip of his nose to inhale deeply the scent of his wife’s body, while whispering, “I’m crazy about you, Anna Maria. I’ve truly fallen in love with you.”
Slowly, Anne turned her body to be able to look directly into her husband’s face. A smile graced her lips. She extended her fingers, delicately brushing the surface of Kaivan’s jaw covered in fine hair.
“Do you think I don’t love you? I really, truly love you, Mr. Maximilian.”
Kaivan was touched. He brought his lips to kiss his wife’s forehead for a while. In his heart, he promised himself that this togetherness would continue and they would never be separated again.
“Before we sleep, tell me first, why did you leave yesterday without saying goodbye to me?”
Anne pulled a face. A soft chuckle escaped those petite lips.
“Didn’t Noah tell you anything?”
Kaivan shook his head and then responded.
“Just so you know, when we first met, we flexed our muscles at each other. If I hadn’t figured out he’s your brother quickly, I might have given him a good beating that night.”
Anne chuckled again. The man in front of her actually had the desire to beat up her dearest brother.
“But, is it true that Noah didn’t tell you anything?”
“Noah only told me a little. Besides, there’s no harm in hearing it directly from you.” Kaivan adjusted his sleeping position. He pulled the blanket to cover his and his wife’s bodies, getting ready to listen to Anne’s story.
“That night, Noah informed me that Father was successfully captured by the Sicilian people. He asked me to meet them and try to negotiate,” she recounted. “I wanted to say goodbye, but your phone couldn’t be reached. I didn’t have much time to wait for you.”
“Did you both immediately go to Italy that very moment?”
Anne nodded, confirming Kaivan’s question.
“At the meeting point, we attempted negotiation. But, as you know yourself, there’s no mafia in this world that can be trusted. After rescuing Father, the Sicilian people came back to confront us. And of course, a fight was inevitable again. Since we were outnumbered, eventually my Father and I surrendered.”
“And Noah just let you get caught like that? While he went back to London?”
Anne shook her head, disagreeing with the accusation Kaivan was making.
“I asked him to go meet you. Because I believed that only you could help me.”
Kaivan sighed. His right fingers reached out, brushing aside the strands of hair covering his wife’s smooth cheek.
“If you knew I could help you, then why wait to get caught first? Why didn’t you ask me to accompany you from the beginning?”
“At first, I thought the same way. Somehow, I was convinced that only you could protect me. But Noah refused. He forbade me from involving you further. Plus, because of me, you were almost shot twice. And in the end, you were actually shot for saving me.”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
“What about a few days ago, why were you so hard to reach?”
Anne took a moment to exhale. The cold night air combined with the room’s air conditioning made her press her naked body closer to Kaivan’s. Tightening her embrace, she continued her story.
“Once again, I apologize. Maybe, when you realized it, I was in the AISE headquarters in Rome, Italy. They seized all our belongings, Noah’s and mine. Our phones and tablets were returned only after the investigation process was completed,” she explained at length.
“Why didn’t you contact me immediately after it was over? I was nearly going crazy every day, every time trying to send you messages. Hoping for a quick reply.” The man shook his head. “But I didn’t receive a single response.”
Instead of being moved, Anne chuckled softly. Finding it amusing to see her husband’s frustrated expression.
“I’m really sorry, Honey. I did this on purpose to give you a surprise. And true, you were surprised, right?”
“You always manage to surprise me, Anna Maria. Always. Since the beginning. Since our first encounter.”
Anne nodded in agreement. What Kaivan said was entirely true. She had brought too many secrets and surprises to him. But who would have thought that this would ultimately bring them together like they are now.
“Thank you…” she whispered softly.
“For what?” Kaivan squinted his eyes.
“For all the chances and sacrifices you’ve given. If you hadn’t given me the chance to explain everything back then, I’m sure I wouldn’t be by your side now. I-”
“Just so you know,” Kaivan interrupted. “I even suspected you of cheating on me behind my back. Fortunately, I didn’t act recklessly then.”
Anne scoffed. She didn’t appreciate being accused like that. From the beginning of their marriage, she had committed herself to acting as a proper wife should. Even though she was aware that initially their marriage was nothing but a pretense.
“Aren’t you the one fond of cheating?”
“Me?” Kaivan pointed his index finger at his own face. “When did I ever cheat?”
“Don’t pretend to have amnesia. Did yesterday’s gunshot wound make you forget? I caught you twice kissing Veronica. Even though you were the one who often warned me to watch my behavior. You hypocrite!”
“Oh my God…” Kaivan sighed softly. He had indeed forgotten about this moment. “I did it because at that time, I didn’t have any feelings for you.”
“Oh, really?” Anna Maria inquired. “Then when did you start liking me? Didn’t you swear that you would never fall in love with me?”
“Damn it!”
Kaivan cursed himself. Why were all women the same? They loved to bring up the past and use it as a weapon against men, cornering them just like what Kaivan was experiencing now.
“Can’t you forget that one statement of mine?” Kaivan was truly in a cornered state now. “I admit, I was too arrogant back then, boasting that I would never fall in love with you. As for when I started liking you, maybe it was when you first saved my life in Milan. I was amazed by how you, who seemed so feminine, could handle a weapon and effortlessly defeat the enemy.”
“There are still many things you don’t know about me.”
Kaivan nodded.
“Don’t worry, I have plenty of time to get to know and even learn everything about you.”
Anne smiled. The sparkle in her eyes showed how genuinely happy she was this time.
“Once again, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Thank you for trying to protect me-”
“Let alone getting shot,” Kaivan interrupted. “I’d even give my life as long as you’re safe. I-”
Anne immediately placed her index finger on Kaivan’s lips, shaking her head, and then whispered after a short pause.
“I don’t need your life. What good is my life if you have to get hurt or even leave my side? What’s the point?”
Kaivan was touched. He pulled Anne back into his embrace. His wife was right; what was the purpose of living if his soulmate was lost due to sacrificing his own life?
“That’s why, never leave my side again. I beg you, stay by my side.”
Within Kaivan’s embrace, Anne nodded, agreeing with his request. After all, she didn’t want to be separated again. They had gone through a lot of pain and wounds together. Now was the right time for them to experience genuine happiness.
