Chapter 43
Meanwhile, on the thirteenth floor, the doctors soon arrived at Sasha’s room and gave her a thorough check to make sure she was alright.
Scott and Olivia remained in the room.
Sasha gradually regained consciousness, and the moment she realized where she was, she kept demanding for Scott to help her kill her ex–boyfriend Kirk in revenge.
Sasha was a spoilt girl who had always gotten her way, and she would not rest until someone avenged
her.

Olivia kept trying to console her. “Don’t worry, Sasha, we won’t let the man who hurt you get away with this. Your Uncle Scott has already sent a lawyer on this case. He can run but he can’t hide.
“What good can a lawyer do? I want him dead! He hurt me and he needs to pay the price for it! Jail too lenient for him! He shouldn’t even be alive the world would be better off without him!” Sasha screamed at the top of her lungs.
Scott stood at the foot of her bed, staring at her calmly. All of a sudden, Sasha shoved Olivia so violently that she staggered backward and almost fell to the ground if Scott had not caught her just in
time.
Olivia lifted her head to stare at him with a starstruck look.
“Kill him? Who do you think you are?” he asked, staring at Sas but carried weight with it.

Olivia furrowed her brows at this. If Sasha was telling the truth, then this Kirk fellow did indeed. deserve to be punished.
“So you decided to hurt yourself for a bastard like him?” Scott replied coldly.
Olivia turned to stare at him.
Scott was gazing at Sasha with an expressionless look, looming over Sasha from his towering height.
“I-“Sasha did not know how to respond to this and instead burst into tears.
Olivia quickly sat down and put her arms around Sasha’s shoulder. “Don’t cry, love. He doesn’t deserve your tears. You deserve so much more than him!”
However, her words served nothing to quell Sasha’s tears. “He put on such a good at in the
beginning that I was fooled by him! I thought he was the kindest, most loving man in the entire world, but he changed the moment he got his green card! He became a monster–he hurt me and broke my heart! I hate him, Aunt Olivial”
Scott’s gaze faltered at this. He stared at Sasha for a few moments before turning and walking out of
the room.
Olivia stared at his retreating figure, her heart racing in her chest.
Sasha’s mother, Leah Newman, was close friends with Olivia, so of course she knew about Olivia’s crush on Scott. Her daughter, Sasha, was no stranger to this poorly kept secret either. Although Sasha had just turned eighteen, she knew a lot about the adults in her family and had been calling Olivia her aunt from the moment she found out about Olivia’s feelings for Scott.
Although Olivia had reiterated multiple times to Sasha not to refer to her this way, since she and Scott. were not even involved with each other, Olivia was secretly delighted every time this happened.
The difference was, this time Olivia would not hide her feelings from Scott any longer. A determined look crossed her face as she stared at Scott’s retreating figure.
She had always dreamt of becoming Sasha’s “Aunt Olivia” for the longest time, but this time, she would make this a reality.
Scott ducked into the head doctor’s office for a brief discussion, then called two different people when he came out. The first was the lawyer he had assigned to investigate Sasha’s accident, and the second was Sasha’s mother–his cousin Leah.
However, another call came in the moment he got off the phone with Leah.
