One would not bring their cup and slippers with them if they were just going to a friend's house. It was obvious that she was not planning to return, at least for a long time!

He slowly walked to the bedroom and opened the wardrobe. Willy's blood ran cold. The clothes and pajamas that she usually wore were gone, leaving only the clothes that he bought for her! Smiling, Lauren picked up an apple and began to chew on it.

Life without problems was a tad lonelier but Lauren had gotten used to it and preferred it that way too.

After relaxing for a while and turning on some soft music, she habitually took a book out. In the past, when she was alone, she used to read more academic books, but ever since her belly got bigger and when she felt the baby's movement in it, she began to read books that were educational for baby instead. She turned to a page and started reading it out,

After reading a chapter, Lauren's mood relaxed a lot. Moments later, she was already at the concluding passage.

Murmuring the philosophical conclusion to herself, Lauren's feelings ran deep. It was probably her biggest drawback! In everyone's eyes, she was cool, arrogant and unapproachable!

Her life was quiet and boring. She only knew few people, including her friends and relatives. More often than not, she had little to share and naturally, she had to endure many things alone.

Just like at that moment, even though she was pregnant and was giving birth soon, albeit she was happy, she couldn't share it with anyone else, and not even on her social media platform. Not that she didn't want to, but it was the reality that didn't allow her to!

She was lonely to say the least but the cruelness of others made her even more resentful. So, she would rather bear the loneliness than being hurt by others!

Closing the book, Lauren sighed. She looked at her rounded belly once again, and saw that it was growing bigger. She did not feel alone anymore then, as she had a child that belonged to her. She had to work hard to give the child the best life possible!

If her mother was still alive, she believed that she too would be made the happiest person!

Lauren shut her eyes and got up to stretch a bit. Then, she seemed to have remembered something, picked up her cell phone that was on the side, and checked it, "What's wrong with you? Why are you so annoying?"

She didn't know that Willy hadn't contacted her those days as he was away on business trip. At the moment, Lauren just found him fickle and annoying!
